A second former Danity Kane member has spoken out against rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs upon his pending federal crime case. From her experience, she said she felt like treated like a “piece of meat.”D. Woods, legally Wanita Denise Woodgett, sat down with ABC’s Good Morning America on Monday to talk about her experience working with Combs on MTV’s “Making the Band.” Woods described her interactions with Combs as “troubling” and credited him for both the progress and downfall of her music career. Ultimately, the working environment was “verbally abusive,” she said.“He did it in different ways with all of us, you know, picking and prodding and just a way to chip and knock away, but then praise you,” she said to GMA. Woods also expanded on comments she made in Discovery’s “The Fall of Diddy” docuseries, where she described herself being in dark, predatory spaces being surrounded by derogatory comments. “Somebody constantly treating you like a piece of meat, only seeing, only valuing you for your sex appeal. In some of the environments, it was even scary to be by yourself,” Woods told GMA.Former Danity Kane member Dawn Richards made corroborated claims in her previously filed lawsuit where she accused Combs of sexual abuse but also alleged the rapper would call female show participants “fat, ugly bitches and hoes.” When asked why she decided to speak out about her experience now, Woods told GMA now is the moment where she felt her experience would be heard, considered and “believed.”“You know, he is looked at as a hero of our community, and myself included, I looked up to him too,” she said. “So a lot of people don’t want to believe that their hero can be this other person.”In response to the docu-series, Combs’ attorneys accused the producers of failing to provide sufficient time or details for them to address the “unsubstantiated” claims.“By withholding this information, they made it impossible for Mr. Combs to present facts to counter these fabricated accusations. He has full confidence in the facts and the judicial process, where the truth will prevail: the accusations against him are pure fiction,” the attorneys said in a statement to GMA.These allegations are the most recent to come against the rapper, though, legal filings continue to pile up. Attorney Tony Buzbee said in an October press conference that he’s representing 120 individuals — men and women — who claimed to have been drugged, sexually assaulted, raped or threatened by Combs. Some alleged victims claimed to be minors at the time of the incidents. Many of the suits, filed since 2023, have been civil. However, Combs faces criminal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and engaging in interstate transportation for prostitution in federal court. He has pleaded not guilty, and was denied bail.
