And they got Sydney Sweeney (“Euphoria”) to speak the “I’ll have what she’s having” button line originally (and perfectly) delivered by the film‘s director Rob Reiner’s mom. Sounds cool, right? Well, it is until you find out this dream scene came together for a Hellmann’s Mayonnaise Super Bowl ad.To be fair, in the context of how mayo definitely improves a turkey sandwich, the idea works. To bring you back to reality, it’s a TV-commercial cash grab, titled “When Sally Met Hellmann’s.”

Harry (Crystal) doesn’t buy it, so Sally (Ryan) demonstrates it, loudly, in the middle of a packed diner. Mrs. Reiner and the other patrons take it as quite the endorsement of her lunch plate. In the meta commercial, Ryan (as Ryan) just finds her sandwich to be bland. Bring out the Hellmann’s, and bring out the best. It sure brought out the beast in Meg.When Crystal (as Crystal: “I can’t believe they let us back in this place”) gives her the “oh, brother” response, Ryan deadpans that “this one” (the orgasm) “is real.” Cut to Sweeney, who no longer has any analysis paralysis with the menu. Cue iconic line, and, scene.“When Harry Met Sally” was written by Nora Ephron, who was nominated for an Oscar for her screenplay. The romantic comedy also starred Carrie Fisher.Super Bowl LIX, a rematch of Super Bowl LVII when the now-intolerable Kansas City Chiefs defeated the always intolerable Philadelphia Eagles 38-35, airs Sunday, February 9, 2025 on Fox. The Chiefs aim to be the first NFL team to win three Super Bowls in a row. The Eagles, meanwhile, aim to make their city’s police force grease the light poles for a parade because the fanbase is made up of deplorable animals. (Guilty: I’m a Giants fan.)You can wait to watch the Hellmann’s ad then, or guarantee yourself an open bathroom break by clicking the YouTube play button here:By providing your information, you agree to our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
