The three were released after being in Hamas captivity for 471 days. Doron Steinbrecher, 31, and Emily Damary, 28, were taken hostage from their homes in Kibbutz Kfar Azza during the October 7 massacre. Romi Gonen, 24, was taken hostage from the Nova music festival in southern IsraelRomi Gonen, Emily Damari and Doron Steinbrecher are the first Israeli hostages released by Hamas on Sunday as part of the cease-fire agreement. They have arrived in Israel after first being transferred by Hamas to the Red Cross and then handed over to Israeli forces.
