The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Rebirth 6.9 Available for Download – DSOGaming

Modder ‘trancemaster_1988’ has released Version 6.9 for the amazing The Elder Scrolls: III Morrowind Rebirth project. The modder has also listed all the tweaks, fixes, and changes featured in it. So, let’s take a look at them.For those who don’t know, Morrowind Rebirth is a complete overhaul of Bethesda’s classic RPG. This mod adds countless new details, weapons, armors and much more for you to see and do. Basically, this is a must-have mod for those who want to replay this classic TES game.Morrowind Rebirth 6.9 is the first release of this project for 2025. And, as the modder noted, this update is fairly big, including a large amount of work put into fixing and improving pathgrids. These affect how an NPC travel from one point to another. Adding more nodes and fixing nodes that are misplaced adds to more realistic NPC behaviour.Moreover, the modder added new more fitting tables and stools to Ashlander camps, big and small. In total, you will find 118 new crates, 127 new urns, 122 new stools and 60 new tables.This is an amazing mod for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Its first version came out in 2021. And, after four whole years, its creator is still working hard on it. So, more power to him. And yes, I cannot recommend this mod enough. If you are a big fan of Morrowind, you should definitely try it.Speaking of Morrowind, you might like these other mods for it. TES3MP 0.8.1 is a mod that adds support for multiplayer and VR. Then we have Tamriel Rebuilt which adds two new expansions and 200 quests. In November 2023, we also shared the first version of a World of Warcraft Mod. Morrowind Rebirth Fixes* Fixed an issue where Redoran Guards had the wrong background topic, saying “I am Redoran Guard, Guard and Lawman of the Great House Redoran” instead of “I’m a Redoran Guard”. This issue was especially bothersome when using the Morrowind Patch Project along with Rebirth, where guards of House Hlaalu, House Telvanni and the Imperial Legion all had the wrong background topics.
* Fixed an issue where Varvur Sarethi would attack the player when stealing items inside Venim Manor. This made little sense since he’s imprisoned. Additionally the door to Varvur’s room in Serethi Manor is no longer locked.
* Fixed hundreds of issues releated to AI pathfinding. Also made improvements wherever possible. These changes affect 100’s of interior/exterior-spaces.
* Fixed an issue where there was large gap inside Odrosal through which you could see the worldspace beyond (in the room where Dagoth Odros resides).
* Fixed an issue where the ‘Treasure Map’ art was misleading. Also updated the art to give the player a better idea where to locate the treasure.
* Fixed issues where MR_Guar_Arena and MR_Guar_Marius, MR_Kagouti_Arena and MR_Nix_Hound_Arena didn’t play the proper sounds.
* Fixed an issue where the Roobrush ingredient model had a leaf that was partially missing due to bad UV-mapping.
* Fixed issues where Tainted, Putrid, Corrupt and Advanced creatures didn’t play the proper sounds.
* Fixed an issue where the ‘Key to Dura gra-Bol’s Chest’ wasn’t assigned to any chest, making it useless.
* Fixed an issue where Sacred Arrows, Bolts etc didn’t have the intended effect of Soul Trapping.
* Fixed an issue where some Redoran guards had the wrong rank set (Hireling instead of Lawman).
* Fixed an issue where the gem in the Firewind ring wasn’t properly attached to the rings head.
* Fixed an issue with incorrect lighting values in the Buckmoth Legion Fort, Gatehouse cell.
* Fixed an issue where there was a clipping tile inside Ginith Ancestral Tomb.
* Fixed minor issues here and there.Morrowind Rebirth Changes* Added real cave entrances to grottos (instead of wooden doors). Heavily inspired by “Immersive Grotto Entrances” by HurdraxCustos (the work started in v 6.7 is now completed).
* Added an Ashlander specific stool and table for more variety, and to set the Ashlanders a bit more apart from ‘Outlanders’. Previous updates added new beds, urns and baskets.
* Added Daedric-styled crates and urns to Daedric Ruins. Also updated the art of several Daedric chests added in previous updates.
* Kwama Workers outside blighted egg mines have been replaced by Blighted Kwama Workers (missed a few in 6.8).
* Made an effort to further implement new items throughout the gameworld, for a more seamless experience.
* Updated the selection of wares available at Indarys Manor.
* Added a bit of detailing to the interiors of Telasero.
* Winged Twilights can now fly as well as walking.
