The showcase starts at 10pm GMT / 2pm PT / 5pm ET.In the PlayStation Blog post announcing the event, Sony says to expect “news and updates on great games coming to PS5. The show celebrates a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world.” You’ll be able to watch on YouTube and Twitch at the following times: North America: 2pm PST / 3pm MST / 4pm CST / 5pm ESTUK/Ire: 10pm GMTEurope: 11pm CET / 12am (Thu) EETAsia/Oceania: 7am (Thu) JST / 6am (Thu) AWST / 9am (Thu) AEDT
As for what sort of announcements we might see during the show, the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer that recently leaked — confirming a 28th August 2025 release — seems all but locked in. Hell Is Us is another likely prospect after the game was listed for pre-order on the Xbox Store. It may be hard to recall, but State of Play was once considered prestigious enough to give TLOU Part 2 its release date, you know?Given the leaks that have been coming out, we’ve basically got a lock on Death Stranding 2, Metal Gear Solid Delta, and Hell is Us, which is already a decent line-up.I’m expecting it to be 35 minutes of live service slop, followed by 5 minutes of cinematics for AAA releases that are releasing in 2029.Was excited to see this then I read the article and felt deflated b/c I’m focused on Wolverine and not even a mention. Just give me the next big Resident Evil(Supposedly it’s RE0 Remake) for PSVR2 and I’ll be over the moon, along with an Astro Bot: Rescue Mission PSVR1 port. And that shark encounter from PSVR World’s ‘Ocean Descent’ hehe. And last but not least, Resident Evil 7 VR, which is another that’s been foolishly left for dead on PSVR1, and could be optimized to the tee’ for PSVR2.As far as Pancake gaming on the PS5 goes, I barely even use my PS5 for that anymore. Actually, Resident Evil 0 Remake is supposedly going to be dropping this year before RE9 according to DuskGollem.If they announce VR support I’ll be dancing up and down like a sailor moon school girl, while doing a Shyrouken uppercut straight up into the moon. lolAnd i wish Sony would restock the 30th Anniversary DualSense and make it a standard colour variant, instead of being limited. Plus, some different Background UI colours, like Aqua Blue to make the PS5 a little more fun and inviting to boot up instead of the dark black void it’s currently rocking.Gta maybe? Xbox games? I fully want and expect something bloodbourne related. First party titles finally being revealed that weren’t cancelled live service.I don’t have any real expectations, so I just hope there’s some fun surprises. Resident Evil 0 is supposedly the next big Remake in line according to DuskGollum, before RE9 drops. And it should be this year. I mean, we haven’t gotten a new RE title since RE4 Remake, and that was all the way back in March 2023.And crossing my fingers for a PSVR2 Mode. And if there isn’t any VR support, I think my excitement is going to drop substantionally. I’ll still be play it day one, but man. RE belongs in VR.Hopefully there is something worth seeingI reckon we will get something to do with Phantom Blade Zero as it must be almost ready. I can see MS having a bit of a spotlight for games they are bringing over. A big bit about Indy and a montage of more to come maybe. Something Resident Evil would be nice but I doubt it will happen.Outside of that I’m not sure as I think Ghost will be left for later on the year.
