Country star Carrie Underwood will perform “America the Beautiful. Additionally, legendary disco group Village People is set to deliver their signature hit “Y.M.C.A.” The festivities have already begun with Friday’s (Jan. 17) first-ever Crypto Ball, which seemingly signals a friendlier approach to the industry from the incoming administration. Rapper Snoop Dogg headlined the night’s entertainment, along with Rick Ross and Soulja Boy. Snoop has come under fire for performing at an event celebrating Trump’s inauguration. However, the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper appears unfazed.Trump did not attend the inaugural Crypto Ball. However, multiple sources describe the event as a celebration of the president-elect’s support for cryptocurrency. The gala featured performances from Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy, and Rick Ross.Some fans were surprised to see the “Gin and Juice” rapper lend his voice to the event, as Snoop has been critical of the president-elect in the past.
