Report: Sonya Deville, AOP gone from WWE – Cageside Seats
Filed under:Earlier tonight, Cedric Alexander announced that he is gone from WWE after spending eight years with the company. Fightful later confirmed that he was released.That’s not the only roster move in the news tonight, as it’s now been confirmed by Fightful that Authors of Pain and Blair Davenport have also been released by WWE. PW Insider confirmed that WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering is released too. On top of that, Sonya Deville has been told that her WWE contract will not be renewed when it expires in a few weeks.AOP (Akam & Rezar) returned to WWE television roughly one year ago after being released in September 2020. They immediately joined up with Karrion Kross to form a lower card heel faction called The Final Testament. The group feuded with Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits at WrestleMania 40, before moving on to a program later in 2024 against the Wyatt Sicks. AOP didn’t wrestle at all on WWE programming thus far in 2025, with their final match taking place in December on Main Event.
