Now 32 Mon 53 Tue 56by WKRCTOPICS:CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A recalled line of frozen shakes has reportedly killed 11 people and sickened 38 due to Listeria contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration.The FDA announced on Friday that all frozen supplemental shakes produced by Lyons ReadyCare and Sysco Imperial were recalled due to an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes which killed 11 people.The shakes were distributed in long-term care facilities and hospitals between 2024 and 2025, with incidents reported in 21 states, including Ohio.The recall notice said that those who experience symptoms of Lysteria infection (fever, muscle aches, nausea, tiredness, vomiting, and diarrhea) should contact a doctor immediately, especially if they believe they have been exposed to one of the recalled products.
