Her body was discovered by a friend who was going to meet up with Kim and her death was ruled a suicide by officials. “We believe she made an extreme choice and plan to handle it as a suicide,” police told South Korean news outlet Yonhap News. Kim made her acting debut at the age of nine in 2009’s internationally acclaimed “A Brand New Life,” where she played an orphan named Jinhee. She went on to star in “The Man From Nowhere” (2010),“The Neighbor” (2012), “A Girl at My Door” (2014) and the “Mirror of the Witch” series (2016).The actress stepped away from the spotlight of stardom after she was caught driving under the influence of alcohol in 2022. Kim crashed her car into a guardrail, trees and an electrical transformer in Southern Seoul and caused a power outage in the area. Her last credited role came in the 2023 Netflix series “Bloodhounds” but much of her screen time was nixed due to controversy surrounding the accident.
