If you’ve been holding out on getting a lifetime Plex Pass, now’s the time. After April 29, the lifetime subscription will increase to $250, and monthly and annual subscriptions will also increase.
You know that list of apps you download as soon as you get a new entertainment device? Yeah, Plex has been on my list of apps I automatically download since I discovered it in 2020. Apart from being one of the few good platforms to stream TV for free, it’s become the place where I manage all my offline media (including music and photos), allowing me to stream and download them across all the devices in my Plex network.Like most people reading this, I have largely ignored the lifetime Plex Pass subscription — until today. Just before I wrote this deal, I finally bit the bullet, took up the Plex lifetime sub and ditched the monthly payment plan because Plex will be raising its prices across all its subscriptions by April 29. And as you can see below, it’s quite a jump.If you’ve never had the Plex Pass, you should consider it because it gives you access to some really great features. My favorite one is being able to stream HD and 4K videos smoothly to take proper advantage of my 4K TV. But there are other great features, like syncing to mobile devices, more robust media sharing restrictions, skipping intro and credits and many more.There are pretty much no other media servers that do it quite like Plex. Easy UI, trustworthy track record, almost eerily smart features and a dedication to customer satisfaction over just making more money (at least historically). If you’re the type that has many songs, audio files, movies and videos on a hard drive somewhere, Plex is the best way to get all of that to as many of your other devices as possible, and a Plex Pass makes all of this a smoother and more robust experience. However, Plex has realized that the value proposition for its Plex Pass is more than its current offering, and the prices will go up. Now’s the time to seal the deal and get the Plex Lifetime Pass forever before the April 29 price increase.
