A plane owned by Mötley Crüe member Vince Neil was involved in a collision at Scottsdale Municipal Airport in Scottsdale, Ariz. Monday, leaving one person dead and four injured, two critically, officials said.
One of the planes, a Learjet, is registered to Chromed in Hollywood, Inc. based in Franklin, Tenn., which is owned by Neil, according to incorporation papers from the Wyoming Secretary of State. Neil was not on the plane at the time.
The band released a statement on social media about the matter, from Neil’s legal representative: “For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane. On board Mr. Neil’s plane were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane. More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing investigation. Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.”

The Scottsdale collision comes after three major U.S. aviation disasters in the past two weeks. A Black Hawk helicopter collided with a commercial American Airlines flight in Washington, D.C., killing 67 people Jan. 29. Two days later, a medical transport plane crashed in Philadelphia, sending homes into flames and resulting in seven deaths — six of those on board and another individual on the ground. Last week, a small commuter plane was thought to be missing in western Alaska before being found en route to Nome, having crash landed on sea ice and killing the 10 people on board.Get our Breaking News Alerts and Keep your inbox happy.Signup for Breaking News Alerts & Newsletters
