Phoenix Labs lays off “majority of the studio” – Gematsu

Dauntless and Fae Farm developer Phoenix Labs has laid off “the majority of the studio” as part of “unfortunate but necessary changes,” it announced. The studio did not share the exact number of employees laid off, or what this means for Dauntless and Fae Farm, the former of which is a live service game, but said it will share more information about its impact “in the coming weeks.”In May 2024, Phoenix Labs laid off over 100 staff and canceled all of its upcoming projects to focus solely on Dauntless and Fae Farm.Here is the full message from Phoenix Labs on today’s layoffs:Today is another difficult day at Phoenix Labs.
