‘Path Of Exile 2’ Studio Crafts Apology Update For ‘Path Of Exile 1’ Broken Promises – Forbes
Path of ExileThe Path of Exile community was up in arms after a recent video explained why exactly promised updates and additions to Path of Exile 1 had not arrived as planned, and the explanation was more or less “we needed everyone to focus on Path of Exile 2,” mainly involving fixing the endgame to not be terrible for early access launch. That did not satisfy the community, which remained outraged that GGG has not delivered on its promises. Now, the studio is attempting to do a few things to perhaps not fix the situation, but offer something to the PoE 1 community. Here’s what’s going on:So, some “whacky” (wacky?”) updates to tide players over until the expansion. The idea of mass new ascendancies is so bizarre, the community barely even understands what it will mean in practice, but the overall reception has been positive as it means there will be at least some form of new, seemingly interesting content to play even if the promised actual content is still delayed.Path of Exile 2This is not even all of it, as more content is promised in the future when they are ready to announce it. I’m not sure when the one-month update will begin as that’s not made explicitly clear yet. March, maybe? I guess we’ll have to see, but it sounds like there are going to be more updates soon. There are likely not that many GGG devs working on all this, as it’s sort of all hands on deck for Path of Exile 2 early access patches, fixes and additions ahead of its 1.0 release which is likely 6-12 months after early access began. I’m sure we’ll hear more about updates for that game soon, as it’s been a little while since the last patch.Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram.Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy. One Community.
