The 2025 Palm Springs International Film Awards, held on Friday in Palm Springs, Calif., kicked off the awards season with a star-studded gala co-presented by Silvercrest and IHG Hotels & Resorts. The event, which preceded the upcoming Golden Globes, celebrated excellence in cinema and honored the year’s most outstanding achievements in film. Nicole Kidman, Selena Gomez, Andrew Garfield, Demi Moore, Colman Domingo and more attended the event.This year’s honorees included Denis Villeneuve (Visionary Award), Ariana Grande (Rising Star Award), Timothée Chalamet (Chairman’s Award) and Angelina Jolie (Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actress).The Film Awards serves as the opening night for the 36th Palm Springs International Film Festival, which will run through Jan. 13.
