The year is already zipping by, it seems, as February kicks off with not a hint of snow. Yesterday I went hiking and found myself altogether too warm in a hoodie. I saw people walking in tank-tops. This is not natural. Something is wrong. It’s hard to complain on a beautiful sunny day, but I imagine the forest fires waiting just around the corner. It’s a bit frightening. I will distract myself with games and puzzles! Speaking of which, let’s uncover some words.Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. I also found GRAMMYWINS before I found GRAMMYWINNERS, so that threw me off a bit. Still, a pretty fun Strands as far as these puzzles go!How did you do on your Strands today?
