A known insider has claimed that the next God of War game will be set in Greece, not Egypt, contrary to recent reports. It looks like wires were crossed somewhere because the insider also claims that the series is returning to a younger Kratos, which makes us wonder if their source is referring to the rumored remaster of the original trilogy.Report of God of War’s return to Greece comes from none other than Tom Henderson, who has a pretty steller record when it comes to leaks. But we’re particularly confused about this one. A year ago, rumors began circulating that Sony was looking to remaster the original God of War trilogy for the PS5. Granted those rumors were a bit shaky, Santa Monica Studio was directly quizzed about them but evaded the question, which led some folks to become convinced those rumors were true.But Henderson does have a good track record, and to be fair, the Egypt setting rumor was also purely speculation. That rumor came from a Sony Interactive Entertainment casting call, in which the company sought Middle Eastern characters.
