Now 31 Thu 38 Fri 39by Jared Turner, KUTVTOPICS:SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A new documentary has been announced about the child abuse case involving mommy vlogger Ruby Franke and her business partner and life coach, Jody Hildebrandt.The three-part documentary series was announced by Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, and will premiere on Hulu February 27.“Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke” will examine how to 8 Passengers vlogger went from millions of YouTube followers to convicted criminal.The two were arrested in August 2023 after Franke’s son showed up at Hildebrandt’s neighbor’s home in Southern Utah, asking for food.When the neighbor found the boy emaciated and hungry – and with the remnants of duct tape around his ankles – he called police.Officers responded to the home and found the boy’s younger sister in a closet. It took them four hours to convince her to come out.Both women pleaded guilty to multiple counts of second-degree felony aggravated child abuse.Franke’s oldest daughter, Shari, wrote a book about her experience with physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her mother.“The House of My Mother: A Daughter’s Quest for Freedom” was released Tuesday._____
