Nacon Reveals New Switch 2 Accessory Range, Including Mario Kart Wheels – Nintendo Life
GuestGuestLogin | Sign UpNintendo LifeGuestLogin or Sign UpThe floodgates openFollowing the official reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2, accessory maker Nacon has revealed a range of new products for the upcoming console.If you’re familiar with the kind of stuff manufacturers would make for the original Switch, then very little here will come as a surprise. That said, the premium-looking steering wheel that houses both of the Switch 2’s Joy-Con looks rather swish; we’d love to take that one for a spin.Otherwise, we’ve got carry cases, Joy-Con wheels for use with Mario Kart 9 and other potential racers, standard grips, and screen protectors. The usual, in other words.Still, it’s cool to see this stuff finally see the light of day after the Switch 2 was shrouded in mystery for so long. We expect the floodgates to truly open now as we head closer to Nintendo’s April Direct presentation and the eventual Switch 2 launch.For now, let’s take a look at some of the products on offer:Hopefully there are plenty of units to go aroundEvery confirmed Switch 2 gameIs there anything here that tickles your fancy? If you take a look of the right analog button position for Switch 2 Joy Cons, the position is in the middle that will look symmetrical when being played sideways.I’ve used the same case for my Switch since March 2017. It has 14 slots for game cards, and I stuff up to 4 game cards in each slot. It’s going to be hard to find one as handy for Switch 2 Only the case and screen protector for me (and not necessarily from Nacon, it all depends on what will be available here in Italy) but still, pretty cool to see a variety of accessories for Switch 2!Yeah we’re going to see thousands of different (third party) accessories for the Nintendo Switch 2.This is fun now. We’re not dealing with leaks and rumours.If it has the weight and chunkiness of the old PC racer wheels I might go for that. Another featherweight accessory like the Wii steering wheel is a hard no though. Kind of funny though, I realize having the Switch since launch the only accessories I’ve gotten are a case, screen protector, and recently a split grip pro.Oh, even a quick release😅I like looking for my case options early.I’m guessing the grey version is a developer/manufacturer thing? I think they had black versions for the first Switch?Ain’t Nacon also those guys what own Test Drive now?So many future landfill residents 😁Say what you will about Nacon, but it’s nice that they were professional enough to wait for the actual announcement. I’ll be getting the black one but still cool if there an option for white at launch.I wonder how the fit is between the console and the dock. One of my favourite early accessories was these dock bands that fit onto the edge of the panel of the launch model Switch that made it a snug fit into the dock, I’ve been using them since day one.
