GuestGuestLogin | Sign UpNintendo LifeGuestLogin or Sign UpSwitch 2 release when?It looks like Capcom is potentially gearing up to release native versions of a bunch of Resident Evil titles for Microsoft and Sony’s current generation systems.With the Switch 2 just around the corner, there’s a real possibility these titles could show up (again) on Nintendo’s next-generation hybrid hardware.The games recently rated for the ‘Xbox Series’ apparently include Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 4 (original), and Resident Evil Origins Collection (including Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil).All of these titles are currently available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, so this announcement would likely be for Microsoft and Sony’s current-generation hardware (X|S and PS5).Switch owners also have access to these games, so if anything does come of this, there’s a chance Capcom eventually follows with dedicated Switch 2 releases. Maybe we’ll get lucky and someone will invent a 4tb MicroSd card.I can imagine a big Resident Evil sizzle reel during the April direct.They should VR-ify the 3DS version of RE: Revelations for Quest 3. It would be doable at 90fps too, since the Quest 3 at best is pushing GameCube+ graphics.Also, I’d love to be able to play Resident Evil Remake & Zero, at 60-120fps, @4K and the option to have those pesky 6 second loading doors open instantly just like in every modern RE Game, for PS5.RE4, RE5 & RE6 will absolutely get 120fps, 4K, and hopefully quality gyro motion aiming with a motion sensitivity dial.
But I still won’t bite with 5, 6 or Revelations 2…They just leave a bitter taste in my mouth. but I’d do it for Remake, Zero, 4 & Revelations 1.Please add the two best RE games in the entire series. “Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City” & “Umbrella Corps”.Resident Evil 2&3 Classic when? Ohh and Code Veronica Classic tooya keep remake them 5 and 6 deserve it i replay them have 50 timesGimme all of ’em physical or bust.My OLED currently has all the available RE titles (even RE2 and RE3 classic with duckstation), outside the joke that is the cloud versions.Proper ports of RE2R, REVII,VIII and RE4R are a must. If 1-2-3 was not released on switch i highly doubt they will be on switch 2.Fair but not cloud versions this time either Capcom? Compared to last time? Would the same happen for Control or other IPs that were cloud versions? Hmmm.I picked up a copy of RE Gaiden for Gameboy last year. Not played it yet, but it’s one of the titles that made me leave NSO. The Gameboy library is so vast, I just couldn’t stand how uninspired the selection was. Its not impatience… I don’t mind the volume of games or the drip feed releases… I mind the fact we simply won’t see so many games due to Nintendo’s inability to negotiate!
