MSI Confirms NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Release Date For February 20, Prepares A Countdown – Wccftech
NVIDIA’s board partner, MSI, has dedicated a launch page for the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, which confirms the release date for the GPU.Multiple leaks suggested a launch date of 20 February for the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. This is now confirmed as MSI officially prepares a countdown for the launch on its website.The countdown is available on MSI’s French store, showing that the GPU will be available in approximately 10 days i.e., on 20th February. At the time of writing, you can’t see any products on the page, but the URL clearly reveals the ‘GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card’. As the GPU launch is just 10 days ahead, MSI might add the GPU models to the page pretty soon.Very recently, one major French retailer, Topachat, revealed the launch date for the GPU. It showcased the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC edition, confirming that MSI has already prepared and might have sent the GPUs to the distributors and retailers.The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is going to replace the RTX 4070 Ti and will boast the GB203 cut-down die. NVIDIA unveiled it at CES but scheduled its launch a bit later than the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, which hit the shelves on 30th January. The RTX 5070 Ti is priced at $749 for the Founders Edition but its custom models, particularly the premium ones, will retail for a bit higher.It’s equipped with 8960 CUDA Cores, 16 GB GDDR7 VRAM on a 256-bit memory, and a TDP of 300W. The exact performance numbers of the GPU will also be revealed around the launch, which will show us its true prowess compared to its predecessor. It’s expected that the RTX 5070 Ti is going to match the RTX 4080 Super’s performance, since the RTX 5080 was only 10-15% faster than the latter.Meanwhile, AMD is also preparing its Radeon RX 9070 XT that should be competitive with the RTX 5070 Ti.
