Updated: March 3, 2025 @ 6:18 amDigital Producer / WFMZ.com ReporterNORRISTOWN, Pa. – The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Public Health (OPH) have confirmed a case of measles in an unvaccinated Montgomery County child. OPH disease investigators are completing contact tracing in coordination with the health care systems listed below and the child’s guardians, according to the press release.Officials say that identified individuals are in the process of being contacted and notified of potential exposure to measles and assessed for vaccination status and risk for infection. The following locations were visited by the child with a confirmed case of measles during their infectious period. People who were at any of these locations during the identified time periods may have been exposed:February 25-26, 2025China Airlines Airport Shuttle BusDeparting JFK Airport Terminal 4, arriving at North Philadelphia, Pho Ha Saigon, 757 Adams Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19120From February 25 at 9:30 p.m. to February 26 at 3:15 a.m.February 26, 2025True North Pediatrics Associates of Plymouth3031 Walton Rd., #C101, Plymouth Meeting, PA 1946211:45. a.m. – 2:15 p.m.February 26, 2025CHOP King of Prussia Campus Emergency Department550 S. Goddard Boulevard, King of Prussia, PA 1940612:52 p.m. – 3:02 p.m.Officials say that additional details regarding possible exposure during and after air travel will be provided as soon as they are available.Measles virus can remain in the air and on surfaces for up to two hours after an infected person leaves the area. If someone breathes in the contaminated air or touches an infected surface and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth, they can become infected. According to the county, people may have been exposed on a China Airlines shuttle bus departing JFK Airport, arriving in North Philadelphia February 25th into the 26th.Digital Producer / WFMZ.com Reporter
