Netflix‘s rom-com Nobody Wants This has cast Leighton Meester and Miles Fowler in its forthcoming second season.
Both actors will be guest stars in season two, with Meester joining her real-life husband, Adam Brody, on the show. She’ll play a character named Abby, Joanne’s (Kristen Bell) former middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer. Meester and Bell were also both key parts of The CW’s Gossip Girl — though Bell, as the show’s narrator, didn’t appear on screen (save for a cameo as herself in the series finale).

Netflix quickly renewed Nobody Wants This for a second season a few weeks after its September debut. Season two will have new showrunners, with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan (Girls) taking the reins from Jack Burditt. Series creator Erin Foster remains a writer and executive producer on the show.
Meester currently stars in Good Cop/Bad Cop on The CW and will be in season two of The Buccaneers at Apple TV+. Her recent TV credits also include Hulu’s How I Met Your Father and ABC’s Single Parents. She is repped by UTA and The Lede Company.
Fowler is coming off A Man on the Inside at Netflix. His credits also include the cult-favorite film Bottoms and Fox’s The Resident. He is repped by Paradigm and Authentic.
