My Nintendo NewsMy Nintendo NewsOne of the more prominent leakers of Nintendo Switch 2 information was NextHandheld who has recently doubled down on the newly announced platform’s Joy-Con controller having Hall Effect joysticks. NextHandheld says that this is evident in a system teardown. One of the biggest issues with the original Joy-Con controllers was the prominence of stick drift, which Nintendo was forced to admit is an issue with the system. Nintendo has yet to specify whether the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons feature Hall Effect joysticks, but when we eventually hear, we will let you know. If you are curious about Hall Effect joysticks then there’s a good explanation about them on Windows Central, which you can read below.“Hall Effect joysticks are a type of joysticks that use magnets and electrical conductors to measure their position, distance, and movement when in use. Unlike standard analog sticks, which use electrical resistance to detect movement, Hall Effect joysticks have no physical contact between the moving parts. This means that they do not wear out easily, and they do not develop stick drift, which is a common pain point for gamers. Stick drift is when the stick starts to behave unpredictably and causes unwanted movement in your game” – Windows Central articleSourceThats hotWow, so I was right in my speculation. See my comment in this post: https://mynintendonews.com/2025/01/08/former-switch-marketing-lead-expects-nintendo-to-stick-to-their-plan-with-switch-2-reveal/#commentsWow, Kelly you’re such a foreseer…This is why I’m very worried and concerned about those new Joycons functionality severely.Do you think there’s a drawback to hall effect on joysticks that we don’t know about?I believe so because base on what I’m seeing right now, I think Nintendo has yet to fully identified what cause the joy-con drift in the first place. So, I’m guessing they haven’t solve the drift issue for the new system. If you took the 60 secs to read the article. It gives you a high level overview. It’s just dust dude. It’s always been dust.Nobody cares about a POS thief, stop reporting on POS thievesWhy are you so mad?good good very goodIf it doesn’t have Hall effect…it will definitely have class action.I have a Gulikit kk3 Pro and Gulikit KK3 Max. I hope the Nintendo Pro controller has the Hall Effects like the Gulikit does. I wonder if the Nintendo Pro controller will have that mysterious C button or will Gulikit have to make a KK4 Pro/Max to include that mysterious C button? I cannot wait until April to get all the amswers.Popular NowExcite Global Media Ltd.
