He is on track to be one of the greatest players ever.Outside of the Mavericks front office and ownership, the rest of the world thinks it was a bad deal for Dallas. That includes Southwest Airlines, who took to social media to troll the Mavericks when announcing their new checked bag policy:A post shared by Southwest Airlines (@southwestair)Despite Southwest Airlines making a joke at the Mavericks’ expense, they are currently getting a lot of backlash themselves for this new policy where checked bags are no longer free. They marketed themselves for decades as the only airline that doesn’t charge for checked bags, but that is not the case anymore.Southwest Airlines is headquartered in Dallas so whoever posted that is likely a Mavericks fan still upset about the trade, and understandably so.But Doncic is now with the Lakers and early reports have indicated he is enjoying his time and plans to stick around long-term after moving into a new home.Despite the Mavericks trading him to the Lakers, Luka Doncic still has a reputation as one of the best young players in the NBA. In fact, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards recently revealed he studies Doncic in order to get better at beating double teams.“Watching film. Me and C. Hines just watch film on it all the time,” Edwards said. “See the open read like now I know the low man gonna be there, the corner gonna be open every time, then they gonna start pre-rotating to the corner, the wing’s gonna be open. Just little reads, and then watching how other players that get doubled, watch how they attack it and watch how they try to manipulate it. Especially Luka, I watch a lot of Luka. Seeing how he attack the double teams, even though we play a different pace, just seeing his strategy to beat the double teams I think that helps me a lot.”Have you subscribed to our YouTube channel?
