First Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Update Released, Is 17GB, Full Patch Notes – DSOGaming
Square Enix has just released the first title update for the PC version of Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, and shared its full patch notes. This first patch is 17.7GB in size on Steam, so let’s see what it brings to the table.Patch 1.001 improves overall game stability, including several bug fixes. Moreover, it updates the DirectStorage DLL to its latest version. Plus,it fixes the graphics preset to be set to ‘Low’ when launching for the first time on Steam Deck, even when save data is linked from the cloud. Also, when playing on a PC that supports NVIDIA DLSS, the default setting for ‘Anti-Aliasing Method’ is now set to ‘DLSS’.And that’s it. This patch does not address the shader compilation stutters or the low quality textures. It also does not bring any major performance improvements or optimizations. In short, this is a small QoL hotfix patch and nothing more. So, make sure to temper your expectations. This update won’t dramatically change your gaming experience. Now if you want higher quality textures, I suggest downloading this 4K Texture Pack. This pack overhauls around 1300 environmental textures. Plus, we have 4K mods for all the main cast.Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
