Even Silent Hill F’s PS5 Steelbook Is Horrible to Look At – Push Square

GuestGuestLogin | Sign UpPush SquareGuestLogin or Sign UpBut you’re gonna want itSilent Hill F, the brutal new PS5 survival horror from Konami, comes with an unprecedented content warning. It’s not a game for the faint of heart, then – and neither is its steelbook.Available as an exclusive physical pre-order item in the UK, with more details to be announced in due course, it depicts protagonist Hinako, seemingly with her face peeled off. We caught a glimpse of this in the release’s recent reveal trailer.Konami says the art has been created by Japanese artist kera, who’s worked on the freakish monster designs in the game.First entry set in JapanPlease read before playingEven though the game doesn’t have a release date, it’s great to see the publisher committing to physical like this, and while the artwork is a little uncomfortable to look at, we’d be lying if we said we didn’t want this steelbook.[source x.com]About Sammy BarkerAs the Editor of Push Square, Sammy has over 15 years of experience analysing the world of PlayStation, from PS3 through PS5 and everything in between. Played silent hill 2, what a great game. Really looking forward to silent hill f.Steel books, developer reveal the other day, surely the release is this year.Awesome design. This is gonna sell out so fast. Will soon see scalpers start charging ridiculous prices for it.Face removed and ready for scalping.I don’t want it.I don’t want it in my house.
I don’t want it on my screen.
I don’t want it in my memory. Why did you make me look, Sammy?! 😅I normally order from the game collection so I’m hoping they get access to this, definitely a nice one to add to my collection.I blame one person for horrific nightmare content like this, and it’s Mr. Junji Ito.Surely the release date can’t be that far away if they are showing the steel book design and mentioning pre orders.@UltimateOtaku91 I think it’ll be next year. This looks amazing. Absolutely take my money. Anyone looking for more horror like this should definitely try Death Mark, it’s a visual novel so it’s not gameplay-heavy but it gives the gorgeous horrific art chance to shine. It’s gonna be a grotesquery isn’t it 😆Besides the fact that this is a generally appropriate design, it’s also very reminiscent of the old cover designs for the original trilogy of games.I just hope it’s not riddled with needless clumsy metaphors. I think we can do with less of those these days.@Kienda I know how u feel I’m home alone right now it’s dark and I don’t want to go into the hallway and I need to pee 😫This game looks like it’s going to be a jolly jauntSerious question.. does this game only have Japanese language with English subtitles? I can’t focus on the subtitles and enjoy the game/cutscenes at the same timeDon’t be soft. I’ll be proudly displaying this.Reminds me of the hole face that Squall has in that one cutscene in Final Fantasy 8.Really cool design.Looks like a butthole giant from dark souls 2.Junji Ito strikes againHolly steel book case edition.Love this design so much that I’m very compelled to preorder to get one, even though I hate pre ordering.Classy steel books, art books and soundtracks are the way to go with special editions rather than overpriced plastic statues and other dust collectors. On rare occasion a game like unicorn overlord comes around that has an actual physical card game, also worthwhile. Now that’s a cover! From all all the content presented so far, still think it’s not gonna meet the hype buildup… hope I’m wrong.@WolfyTn
Yup, same here.
And Steam says yes, full audio is available in English and Japanese.
https://www.game.es/VIDEOJUEGOS/SURVIVAL-HORROR/PLAYSTATION-5/SILENT-HILL-F/242998Only available at GAME. Up for pre-order in Spain. I’ve gone right off it now. What on earth is with the influx of preorders with no release date? I know this was a thing a few years back but it was here and there. Now it’s consistent, sheesh. Game looks amazing but if not preordering before they even announced a release date means I miss out then so be it.Ah man that’s a bit too weird. And I like dark jazzI don’t buy physical games anymore, and when I do it’s for the Switch, but that’s rare; however, this looks freaking awesome. When I saw it my first thought was she looks like she took a shotgun blast to the face. This game is going to be so creepy.Gross. No idea why anyone would want to look at that, but hey, to each their own. I’ll pass on that myself though, despite the fact I’m looking forward to the game itselfI’d still hit it!@Shinnok789 omg f#{|
