Drake has responded to Serena Williams’ cameo during Kendrick Lamar‘s Super Bowl LIX performance. On Wednesday (Feb. 12), Drizzy used his burner Instagram account, @plottttwistttttt, to share a picture of himself and a seemingly random white woman. On closer examination of the photo, it was revealed that the woman is Jill Smoller, Williams’ longtime agent.
An even closer look into the Getty Images database dates this photo to 2015, when Drake was snapped at the tennis event supporting the Compton native. Pictures show him shaking hands with Smoller and her team, speaking with Venus Williams, and watching the game with OVO Chubbs. For more proof, various images from the event find Drizzy wearing the same outfit he’s wearing in the picture with William’s agent.

Nonetheless, Aubrey’s response to Williams—and not K. Dot—was not well-received by fans. Netizens poked fun at the “weird” choice by the Canadian artist, saying things like, “A grown man said your name on a global stage but you got a rebuttal for the woman who was dancing” or “that one megan thee stallion lyric about how the ni**as don’t beef with the ni**as bc theyre scared of each other and beat on the women yaaaaaa that…. that’s happenin.” And the hits and genuine confusion didn’t stop there.

“‘Drake is so unbothered.’ This dude was definitely crying after watching the highlights,” one fan opined. “Kendrick been dog walking this ni**a since beginning of last year, and this is how he responds,” another account chimed in. “As someone who is one of Serena’s biggest fans, posting Jill is not a gag lmao. At all,” a subsequent account asserted.
Some of Drake’s stans attempted to take up for the Her Loss entertainer, explaining that, regardless of the post from his burner account, their GOAT wasn’t “bothered.”
“You really think Drake is bothered? The lawsuit is in motion  Let him laugh now, he’ll cry later,” a Drake fan offered as a rebuttal. “Drake owns Serena,” an account declared. “such a man of the culture. his son got a perfect role model. Kendrick could never touch this greatness,” someone else said, but, to be fair, it seemed like a bot.
Drake and Serena Williams were rumored to have started dating back in 2011. During this time, the 38-year-old was seen at a ton of her games. The on-and-off relationship would end in 2015, with Drizzy sending shots and making references to her over the past decade.

Drake and Serena are rumored to have dated in 2011, with the Canadian rapper seen at many of her tennis matches around this time.
