The release date and time countdown for when Diablo 4 Season 7 will start is nearly over, and there’s plenty to look forward to including more free and premium rewards, new runes, and big updates.The release date for Diablo 4 Season 7, Season of Witchcraft, is January 21st. This is confirmed on the game’s official X account.Below is everything touted for the new D4 chapter:The release time for when Diablo 4 Season 7, Season of Witchcraft, will start is 10AM PT/1PM ET/6PM GMT on January 21st. This start time comes courtesy of Blizzard’s Master The Occult overview.Ahead of the upcoming chapter’s launch, Blizzard’s Rod Fergusson said in an interview that future expansions won’t, and shouldn’t be, “isolated stories”. The developer also responded to criticism against D4 and the series’ direction by saying players are too “consumptive” and don’t actually want classic Diablo to return.Below is a visual countdown to when D4 Season of Witchcraft will start:As per usual, the new D4 chapter will have a free and premium battle pass. There are 90 rewards in total, and this is split into 28 free tiers, and 62 premium tiers.Per Blizzard, the free tiers include ernable Smoldering Ashes that can be spent on the following Season Blessings:As for the premium battle pass, there is the Grand High Witch Armor set to unlock. For one, the Tree of Whispers has a new and better layout that will stick around past the end of Season 7.The developer is also making each Class mechanic quest completion account based. This means “Once you’ve completed the Class specific quest once, it’ll be completed for any new Character of the same class”. It also means “You’ll unlock your specific Class mechanic at the Level where the Class mechanic quest would have become available”.In addition to the above, Blizzard is improving Greater Affixes.
