Debunked: It turns out Jessica’s Alba kidnapping story never actually happened and is fake – The Tab

She denied all claims she had ever been kidnappedRight, so yesterday a tweet went viral claiming that Jessica Alba had been kidnapped when she was 15 and filming Flipper in Australia.Apparently the celebrity vanished whilst on set, with a search team looking for her for over 14 hours until she was eventually found blindfolded, gagged and bound in the boot of an abandoned car.The culprit was never found and apparently an investigation was launched but as there were no leads or eyewitnesses it was ultimately dropped.Allegedly the actress had been receiving some very disturbing phone calls in the days and weeks before the kidnapping, which may have been from the person who kidnapped her.A post shared by Jessica Alba (@jessicaalba)Well, as it turns out Jessica Alba was never kidnapped and the entire story is completely fake. Yes, I’m also in shock.During a 2005 interview with Complex Magazine, Jessica was asked about the alleged kidnapping claims and she firmly set the record straight on the truth of what happened. The interviewer asked: “According to the Internet, while you were filming the remake of Flipper you were kidnapped! Is that accurate?” Jessica responded: “No.”When the interviewer questioned her again, enquiring: “You were never kidnapped?” She clarified: “No.”The original tweet posted on Twitter about her kidnapping resurfacing also got a community note clarifying it wasn’t true from moderators, and the entire tweet has since been deleted.I just cannot believe we all really got fooled by a decade long internet hoax, but now we know once and for all that no, Jessica Alba has never been kidnapped. For all the latest news and drama and drops, quizzes and memes, like The Tab on Facebook. In a city of £7 pints, we all need to start thinking of ways to saveLady Gaga actually had me in tearsCan human morals be imposed on non-human creatures?‘We’re losing bars that, in a way, make up the identity of the colleges’Residents have questioned why the council are prepared to pave over hundreds of years of history on Frederick StreetYork students had better start selling everything on Depop nowLincoln club life is changing as we know itCome and see us in Terrace Bar on Warwick Campus at 5pm on Monday 3rd FebruaryThe plane had nearly made it to the runway for landingShe calls it her ‘waiting house’In a city of £7 pints, we all need to start thinking of ways to saveLady Gaga actually had me in tearsCan human morals be imposed on non-human creatures?‘We’re losing bars that, in a way, make up the identity of the colleges’Residents have questioned why the council are prepared to pave over hundreds of years of history on Frederick StreetYork students had better start selling everything on Depop nowLincoln club life is changing as we know itCome and see us in Terrace Bar on Warwick Campus at 5pm on Monday 3rd FebruaryThe plane had nearly made it to the runway for landingShe calls it her ‘waiting house’Trends | Ellie RingEntertainment | Ellie RingEntertainment | Ellie RingEntertainment | Ellie RingTrends | Hayley SoenTrends | Hayley SoenEntertainment | Hayley SoenTrends | Kieran GalpinTrends | Ellissa BainTrends | Ellie Ring
