However, that was not the case.Hopie posted a video to her Instagram account on Sunday that she had taken a 23andMe test after feeling “a bit different” for a long time. After taking the test, Hopie found out Rory is not her father and that she “got the results I never knew I needed.” She revealed a man only identified as B.C is her real biological father,Hopie noted the two have “gotten close and gotten to know each other” over the last six months, adding, “it’s so strange because we’re so much alike.”Using her sleuthing skills, Hopie noted she “literally stalked” B.C. on social media because she did not know how else to find him. After finally making contact, the duo met in person.“Within 24 hours of finding him and messaging him on Facebook, he was here at my doorstep just to give me a hug and meet me,” she says. “I’ve never experienced unconditional love like that before.”Rory acknowledged that Hopie told him the news before making it public in a post on his public blog. Although they haven’t spoken in a while, Rory was happy that Hopie contacted him.“And honestly, all I can think is how thankful I am that she called me.” Rory wrote, “And that God gave us the opportunity to look into each other’s eyes and talk together.
