NC, USA — Cone Health, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, and Novant Health announced visitor restrictions due to a sustained increase in respiratory viruses in the area.The restrictions go into effect Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7 a.m.The restrictions include:Visitor age limit: Children 12 and under should not visit the hospitals.Masking policy: Visitors are recommended to wear masks especially when in cancer centers or visiting newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit.Specifically in reference to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, they said visitors will be asked to wear masks when in areas where direct patient care is provided and in emergency department waiting areas.Cone Health said staff will wear masks when working with patients.
