Chilling ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Teaser Tells Quite A Tail – Forbes
Jurassic World RebirthEarlier this morning, the Jurassic World X account revealed a brand new teaser for the upcoming installment in everyone’s favorite dinosaurs-run-amok movie franchise. The video shows a seemingly predatory and very reptilian tail sprouting up from what can only be described as long grass. Never go into the long grass.The short clip, which ultimately states ‘Something is coming’, points to this Wednesday, February 5, as when we’ll get to finally see a legitimate trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth. The film is a purported standalone sequel to 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion and stars Scarlett Johansson as covert operations expert Zora Bennett, who has to obtain DNA from three gargantuan and now atomized prehistoric beasts, while also rescuing a wayward family from dangerous water dinos. All in a day’s work, I suppose.Part of the official synopsis, taken straight from the movie’s website, actually sounds really cool:Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.Jurassic World RebirthThe film’s characters also ‘come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades’. Sounds awesome to me, and I dig the idea of separate biomes for struggling animals being driven to extinction for a second time.From a gamer’s perspective, I’m getting a definite Monster Hunter vibe here, wherein these creatures need to be tracked down, rather than the (expected) other way around. Usually humans are being hunted in Jurassic Park, so this kind of story flip feels undoubtedly fresh, although I’m sure we’ll see plenty of Homo sapien prey moments in Jurassic World Rebirth, too. Dinosaurs hunting humans is a Jurassic Park staple, after all. We’ll also see some Michael Crichton content incorporated from his original 1990 novel as well.I genuinely enjoyed Jurassic World Dominion, so I’m looking forward to the Rebirth trailer dropping later this week, and the subsequent full release this summer. On that note, original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp is apparently back on board for this new installment, which gives me a lot of hope.Rebirth is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025.One Community.
