Azealia Banks is back in headlines for spewing whatever thoughts she has about her musical peers. This time, she’s made wild claims that A$AP Rocky‘s ongoing trial regarding allegedly shooting A$AP Relli stemmed from him flirting with Rihanna.
In a post on X, the rapper fiercely criticized Rocky, and called for him to be jailed.
Banks’ scathing remarks came alongside a recent video of A$AP Relli testifying in court, where Rell, né Trell Ephron, claimed Rocky pointed a gun at him and pulled the trigger during an alleged altercation in 2021. Expressing much support for Relli, the fellow Harlem native unleashed a series of accusations against Rocky, including questioning his Harlem roots.
“Asap Relli and Knocka literally MADE Rocky, Rocky is not from Harlem like he says,” she claimed on X. She then went on to claim that the entire incident stemmed from jealousy over Rihanna. According to Banks, Rocky invited Relli to a Harlem gathering where Rihanna allegedly took an interest in Relli.

“Rocky corny a** had Rihanna in Harlem trying to show off and made the mistake of inviting Relli fine chocolate a** over and OF COURSE, Rih was all in his face flirting and sh*t,” she continued to allege.
Banks then painted a picture of what she believed happened next: “Rocky got jealous, invited him to meet up somewhere, pulled him in for a hug and then really tried to shoot and kill him. All because Rihanna was looking,” she wildly claimed.
She then doubled down on her stance, insisting that Rocky should not only be convicted in Relli’s case but should also face additional charges. She alleged, “Rocky tried to shoot Relli, and recklessly almost shot A$AP Illz. I don’t give a f**k, Rocky needs to go to jail and pay Relli with whatever money he makes.”
The “212” artist suggested Rocky should also be charged with attempted murder, felony assault, illegal possession of a firearm, fraudulent inducement, coercion, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and reckless endangerment. Wrapping up her rant, she declared, “F**k this ni**a Rocky.”
Rocky, who rejected a plea deal, is currently facing two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and has maintained his innocence. If convicted he is facing a maximum of 24 years.Get weekly rundowns straight to your inboxGet weekly rundowns straight to your inboxA post shared by VibeMagazine (@vibemagazine)Get our latest stories in the feed of your favorite networksWe want to hear from you!
