Consumer preference for Pro variants increased significantly, with Pro models accounting for more than half of all iPhone sales annually for the first time.Attractive financing plans and trade-in offers on iPhones contributed to the premiumization trend and made the iPhone more accessible to a wider audience, particularly in emerging markets. This trend led to more consumers opting for the latest iPhone, helping Apple enter the Q4 2024 list of India’s top five smartphone brands for the first time ever.”Apple’s biggest rival in the smartphone space, Samsung, has much to be proud of because its Galaxy A15 4G, Galaxy A05, and the top-end offering from last year, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, secured one out of the 10 places for the best-selling smartphones of the year. What did surprise us was the fact that the Galaxy A15 4G ships with fewer features than the Galaxy S24 Ultra and still ended up accumulating more popularity, with the latter occupying seventh place, followed by the Galaxy A05 taking up tenth position.As for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, despite launching in the fourth quarter of 2024, it quickly picked up the ranks and became the fifth best-selling smartphone.
