LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The City of Lincoln issued a snow emergency Saturday evening effective immediately.A snow emergency parking ban was also put into place that will be in effect at midnight, meaning parking is banned on both sides of emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes. Maps of these routes are available at lincoln.ne.gov/snow under the “Parking Bans & Ordinances” tab.According to the city, crews are on patrol treating the emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes with salt and brine.Plow teams are on alert with the snowfall accumulating overnight.Stick with Channel 8 to stay updated on closures, street/driving conditions and the forecast.
