The fans we spoke with Saturday were understanding that what happened was out of anyone’s control. The moment when “Don’t Stop Believin’” came to a stop, confusion followed for some fans.“We thought it was a singalong and kept going until everyone, kind of forgot the words,” Tony Hill told KHOU.“Disappointed but I wasn’t mad, just wondering why it happened,” said Beverly Salazar, who was at the shot. Salazar said in the 25 years she’s gone to the Rodeo, she’s never seen a moment like that.Rodeo Houston said in a statemen it is working through options for guests who purchased tickets through AXS.“I’ve heard they’re still working on it and I haven’t heard anything else,” Salazar told us.Others who purchased tickets through StubHub shared a response from that company which says their purchase is “covered by the FanProtect guarantee and we will contact you in 72 hours.”Fans of Journey, who still returned for Saturday night’s carnival and concert are giving some grace to event organizers.“You had a full rodeo performance, kids got to calf scramble and everything,” said Rodeo attendee Tony Hil. “It’s unfortunate we only got three songs of Journey, but the kids go to do what they needed to do.”Journey’s drummer in a post on Facebook said although the show was a “bust,” it doesn’t mean they won’t be back.KHOU 11 requested an interview with Rodeo staff and asked when fans who attended the Journey concert will expect to hear from concert organizers. No specific timetable was given, but a statement from RodeoHouston says it will be following up with more information soon.Today’s concert at RodeoHouston went on as planned, unlike the night before when Journey’s show was cut short by an electrical fire. We are excited for him to take the star stage this evening for the first time!”
