RUMOR: 380,000 Switch 2 units may have already been shipped – GoNintendo
Not much longer now…We’re just a few weeks away from Nintendo’s Switch 2 Direct, during which we’ll finally get more details about their upcoming console. Of course, one of the biggest questions surrounding the Switch 2 is when exactly it’s going to hit store shelves. Well, according to a new report, Nintendo may already be gearing up for a launch in the very near future.This info comes courtesy of user LiC over on the Famiboards forums. According to their research, a Vietnamese manufacturer called HVBG was contracted by Nintendo and has already produced and shipped over 383,000 units of the Switch 2. More specifically, those units were shipped to North America in January and are intended for distribution throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to the consoles themselves, LiC reports that HVBG has shipped 41,598 charging grip units as well.If this news is accurate, it’s a strong indicator that Nintendo has plans to launch the Switch 2 sooner, rather than later. Exactly how soon is hard to say, and it’s likely that more shipments will be coming before that launch occurs. It remains to be seen if we’ll hear about those shipments early or not.
