In white are three classic symbols — the moth, the wolf, and the Fireflies logo. The controller will be available in “limited quantities”, retailing for $84.99 / €84.99 / £74.99. Additionally, The Last of Us Part II Remastered hits PC a week prior, on 3rd April. Are you interested in this special The Last of Us DualSense controller? What do you think of its design? I find that to be a very tacky looking controller, though I do love the matte finish.I might hold off on this one. I already have Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, Astro Bot, Helldivers 2 and 30th Anniversary DualSense controllers. All of them are very nice and have good designs and control schemes, but this one is not quite as impressive. Plus while I enjoy TLOU, not the biggest hardcore fan.@IOI The second season of TLOU is coming out that’s the reason for this new controllerAll over this. Even though I mainly use the 30th Edge, it’ll be nice to have. It’d look a lot better without the logos. And white sticks? Nope. How can Concord put out a better looking controller than TLOU?this is one of the lamest onesWhy are companies so bad at making controller designs?Look at the uncharted and god of war ps3 controllers and then look at this.Same for the majority of the Xbox One controllers which looked pretty amazing. This is an incredibly lame design.I like the colors on it but the logo on the back of the controller is a bit tacky.@IOI It certainly looks like it would go well with a glass of milk.I actually really liked it until I saw the back. So close!A new last of us game would have been better ND. Also does uncharted still exist. The new ND game has soooooo much to live up to.Sort of horrid design. The balance of black and white just does not work imo.I’m glad Sony’s still making these unique controllers, seems like a no brainer for all their big IP. Now with that being said, please release a Horizon one 🙏Waiting for Stellar Blade one in EVE green.Damn, that’s ugly.Dang Sony releasing more limited edition controllers this gen than actual first party games. It looks like it was designed by a teenager. You can buy replacement parts to create that colour scheme yourself, the only thing they’ve really done here that is difficult to mimic is stuck logos and icons from the game in random spots on the controller. Also worth pointing out that white is a poor choice for buttons, especially thumb sticks. Skin naturally secretes oils which will gradually cause the thumb sticks and triggers to yellow.Im not even a huge LOU fan but that controller is sick, def going t try to snag one!@AndyKazama My man@HMazzy111 Agreed. Astrobot set the standard for what these should try to do. I wish I bought more than one! This controller looks ugly. It’s like they took inspiration from the LeBron and Fortnite controller.@AndyKazama That be hot!Remember when PS fans used to say Xbox released more limited edition controller than games? Anyone? Anyone remember that. It went like another Xbox controller, they release more controllers than games! Well……………. I could say that here. I won’t. I’ll be nice. But man. PS5 is out here doing the most to be stale. Good thing they sell lot’s of consoles tho right. Thats the counter argument to anything said about them.If a ps5 plate/cover looked similar that would be sweet.Looking good, but my controllers can only last for max 2 years so I wish it were a Dual sense EdgeScalpers be like:Why is it so hard for Sony to hire some designers with taste?I’d rather faceplates for the ps5 pro then more Controller’sIf they got rid of the white symbols on the black, and applied the classic neon multi-colored accents to the Square, X, O & Triangle symbols, this would actually look pretty appealing. As is, the only fun looking PS5 DualSense, imo, is the 30th Anniversary Edition. Too bad it’s $250 CAD on eBay. Sony doesn’t plan to restock it anytime soon either, or ever. That’s great and all but will there be anything to play with it that aren’t remasters?Every time I make a joke about Sony putting out more new hardware than games recently Sony counters by… announcing new hardware.😂I don’t know why they bother the Helldivers 2 one was a huge disappointment,.it should have been black with yellow strips and the HELLDIVERS icon on the touch pad but it was rubbish they all@OldGamer999 Uncharted series already finished. ND doesn’t want to go back to the series anymore because the story wrap up nicely with Uncharted 4.And they’re busy working on their new IP; Intergalactic. Maybe they will do TloU 3 after they’re done with Intergalactic…sigh unzips walletI ended up buying the 30th Anniversary controller shells off E-bay for $22 a piece, and they look amazing!I’m a total sucker for anything like that, day one for me 🤦‍♂️Y’all arguing which dress you rather have on your dollsI’m sorry – I love these games, but that’s the most boring looking custom controller. Of course, I’m sure there’s going to be people salivating over it… but it’s like you asked a work-experience kid to do the design. Couldn’t they have at least… having the gloss (relief?) was slightly interesting… but when I look at the controller, I don’t feel anything (from somone that absolutely loves the games).I see people gushing over this – and well – hope you enjoy it. I also wonder why… but to be fair – I don’t buy custom controllers. However… missing out on the Concord controller is one of my life regrets.edit – apparently bait-and-switching goes hand in hand with TLOUp2… why would they show Joel/Ellie/Abby on the controller as part of the faction icons, when they (from what I can see) don’t actually figure on the real controller that people would be buying. Huh?@Deadlyblack er…. sorry… maybe I didn’t watch carefully enough. What colours?I’m not a fan of the placement of the white symbols. I think it’d look better with just the “watermark-type” symbols and no white ones. Why this color scheme? What about the choice says TLOU? Should have been earthy and fern green or something. Not great. In fairness the source material doesn’t allow for a particularly attractive and eye catching design (unlike say a Sci Fi game), so they were in a turd polishing situation from the start. But still I think they didn’t polish very hard. IamJT is right in that I’d have been expecting something earthy or fern green.I guess in that sense they really lived up to the reputation of TLoU 2 and honoured Druckmanns strategy. They subverted expectations and produced something meh, when doing the predictable would have created something far better!Looks like somebody trained an AI on a bunch of icons for the game and said “now, make me an image of a DualSense branded with TLoU images”At least it doesn’t have three joysticks.
