Black Ops 6 Zombies Players Believe New TMNT Operators Are Pay to Win – GameRant

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are calling the game’s new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles operators “pay to win” due to an added benefit in Cowabunga Cranked, the newest Zombies game mode for Season 2 Reloaded. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has already caused controversy in the past due to its collaborations, but the newest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event is continuing to cause outrage for a magnitude of different reasons.Much like Fortnite, Call of Duty isn’t shy when it comes to collaborations and crossovers. In the past, Call of Duty players have seen rappers, horror icons, and professional footballers make their way into the game via new operator skins. However, Activision has upped the ante following the latest Call of Duty game’s release in 2024. Black Ops 6 has already collaborated with The Terminator, Squid Game, and, most recently, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Unlike past events, these new collaborations have brought a plethora of new game modes, weapons, operator skins, and event passes to the game. Sadly, despite the plethora of new content, many of these collaborations haven’t been without controversy.A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player discovers a genius tactic for Search and Destroy that allows them to secure the win with ease.Releasing alongside Call of Duty’s Season 2 Reloaded update, Black Ops 6 players can now get their hands on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles operators. While the operators are merely cosmetic for Multiplayer and Warzone, they do offer a pretty big benefit in Cowabunga Cranked, the new limited-time mode for Black Ops 6 Zombies. Players who deploy with one of these operators equipped (which cost 2,400 COD Points each, by the way) will take 50% less damage from behind while playing Cowabunga Cranked. As of writing, this benefit does not apply to other Zombies modes, but some fans think it’s only a matter of time before that changes. Users on Reddit are already calling the operators “pay to win” because of the feature. The argument of these operators being pay to win appears to have divided the community. Reddit user Ruttu124 says they are “not too mad” as the benefit is currently only available in Black Ops 6’s new Cowabunga Cranked mode. However, they do go on to say that if this is extended into normal Zombies modes then it will become a problem. Fellow player Thresssh is confident that Activision is “checking people’s reactions” and that the feature will eventually make its way to other game modes. Not everybody believes this is a big deal, though, such as AirProfessional, who says it’s not pay to win as it’s only for the limited-time mode, but does once again point out that it would be if it was in a standard Zombies mode. This isn’t the only controversy around Black Ops 6’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event, either. While the collaboration has brought new game modes and weapons to the game, fans aren’t happy with the overall price of the items. Players are looking at roughly $80 USD to purchase all four operator skins, as each Ninja Turtle is sold as a separate bundle. On top of this outrageous price, players must pay an additional $10 USD to acquire the premium Event Pass, which includes various cosmetic items such as the Splinter operator skin. Altogether, fans are looking at close to $100 USD to make the most out of the collaboration.Success! We want to hear from you! Share your opinions in the thread below and remember to keep it respectful.Your comment has not been savedI believe posts like this were meant to distract and overshadow the real issue. NO ONE is complaining about TMNT skins being pay to win. People are complaining about money hungry devs continuously releasing content gamers have to pay for, like those super expensive TMNT skins, and they’re not FIXING THEIR BUGGY GAME! Quick to patch exploits and release skins to buy, but won’t fix bugs and glitches nor stop cheaters. Thank God I’m not a kid in today’s predatory gaming world.”unfair advantage” is not what I’d use to describe an underwhelming benefit in a co op PvE game mode. It’s absolutely ridiculous of Activision to do, for sure, I just can’t bring myself to call it pay to win when, at the end of the day, you still need to play well and cooperate with others and the only benefit from it is the same calling cards you can already get, but with a turtle shell stamped onYou know this for a fact that it’s in all modes of play? Doubtful. I do think that it’s abhorrent to charge for skins that cost more than the game itself.Who exactly am I winning against in Zombies? SMHI just want the katanas and nunchuks to use as melee weapons, i couldn’t care less about the rest of the stuff in the bundles unfortunately you have to waste money on the rest of the stuff to get the Melee weaponsYou can unlock all the melee weapons without purchasing anything. Barracks, armory. You need 250k xp per weapon. You do know activison own a blueprint patent… That air professional don’t know what he’s talking about, and I can prove in game if you ou have real experience and the patent proves itBlack ops 6 needs to be fixed there is a problem with the armor on the game and you want to much for the ninja turtles you should of made them a bundle $80 not all’s I now is the armor needs fixed till them I’m going to stop playing it till it’s done I think people seem to have trouble with staying up in this game in general. I’m constantly reviving people. It may just be some better players that want to pay for skins I have a solution just get you a turtle I have one I just picked my favorite out of the four which is Michael Angelo. It’s not pay to win because paying to win only applies in one mode, right? So you can pay to win in one mode, but that means it’s not pay to win at all? Where did you find your common sense? There’s a lot more wrong with the game than this the skins hitbox for each individual is different so is the time to get into the game until they until they fix the anti cheat for multiplayer war zone doesn’t matter most people don’t play itShooting the symbols in ascending order can be a rather tricky step for The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
