Lorewise Tarkir just claimed its dragons back from a series of events engaged by Sarkhan, Ugin coming to life and the original dragons present at Tarkir never extinguish therefore they are present at current times where the Five Factions previously leading the plane (Abzan, Mardu, Jeskai, Temur and Sultai) are struggling with the forever dominant draco power storming the plane, but there are many ways to seek balance or so they say at the Jeskai temples for they cast a powerful ritual “The DragonStorm” in which channels the dragon force within the plane release 5 prominent mythical dragons from the plane to rally against the current Dragon rulers but not only that but a relentless wave of dragon forces coming out of this ritual looking to take part in the plane of Takir.Let’s take a look what’s in for us! Powerful two drop with a new keyword feature “Behold” choose a Dragon you control or reveal a Dragon from your hand, and if you do create a treasure token, quite powerful ramp for mono red to help you cast Dragons later on.As for the Clan Cards we have:From AbzanYour classical Abzan Rhino with a solid life drain to create a bigger gap between lifetotalsFor the Jeskaipowerful three drop from Jeskai colors a mighty return for Narset, Jeskai Waymaster she always centers around card draw this time around there’s a heavy risk to discard your hand, and then draw based on the number of spells you’ve cast this turn.Shiko, Paragon of the Way is all about recursion maximize what you already have on graveyard for a further use in battle paired with the new Narset that’s all about discarding and playing spells Shiko might help you further utility. For the SultaiScary 4 mana drop, 4/4 flying for 4 mana? this Dragon is a menace it can get you lands on the battlefields and 2/2 tokens to help you send a clear threat message. For the MarduQuite cost heavy reanimator enchantmant for creatures with powers 2 or less, this is a fun card to brew with as there’s a ton of critters that might turn useful for some recursion sinergy at play. This is my mojo, CAN’T BE COUNTERED, my favorite three words, exile target nonland permanent, and its controller loses 3 life and you gain 3 life, I want to brew with this card in mind in the future.A callback to Sieges choose your clan and apply the desire effect, though in my opinion the Mardu side of things is quite difficult to operate that would mean you either attack and let a creature die for the effect or cast a removal spell to get an extra removal and it’s of the opponents choiceFor TemurTemur Dragonclaw is getting a visual rework to its overall theme but sadly no Temur cards were shownTune in May 10th for a more in depth reveal for the upcoming Final Fantasy set, mark your calendar don’t miss a bit“We always had the idea of bringing Magic to Space”“Not just ignoring what Magic is and going to Space, but rather could we take Magic to Space?”“This is not a world but a Galaxy not just a big city, this is a giant Scope”“We are doing alian races, and all sort of fun new things”“What does a Space angel looks like?“KAVU!”“You cant go to space without Space Whales”Product lineup for Edge of EternitiesFor a fantastic surprise ending we got the announcement of Avatar the Last Airbender Michael Dante Dimartino himself with a quick news of Avatar being the last set to be released on 2025 Avatar the Last AirbenderWhat a fantastic news for all of MTG fans we get Final Fantasy and Avatar the Last Airbender the same year, you might say it will add some laughs at the future when we see things like “This is a Sephiroth Katara Midrange with a Sideboard of Spongebob’s Spatula”, the Magic Lore sets look fantastic aswell, its clear they are pouring all their hearts into making a fun and balanced experience across all their products, this is the next chapter for MTG 2025.With this I say goodbye, and may your spells never be countered!
