Fitbit rolling out Charge 6, Sense 2, and Versa 4 update – 9to5Google

Following the last big update in July, Google is rolling out a smaller firmware update for the Fitbit Charge 6, Inspire 3, Sense 2, and Versa 4.Fitbit’s latest smartwatches and trackers now have “status indicators” that appear at the top of the clock face “when you turn on your device’s screen.” They note when do not disturb (badged message icon) or sleep mode (moon) are active. This saves you from swiping down and scrolling quick settings to check, with this feature debuting on the original Sense and Versa 3.There’s also a red battery when you’re wearable is “critically low,” and a phone with a slash when: “Your Fitbit device isn’t connected to your phone.”Meanwhile, this Fitbit Charge 6 and Inspire 3 update adds “new Bluetooth security features.” After updating, users are prompted by the Fitbit app to forget their Fitbit tracker on their phone and then repair to benefit from those enhancements. To enable them, reconnect your device when prompted in the Fitbit app.Once the update is available, tapping the device icon in the top-left corner of the Fitbit app will show a banner about new firmware being available.
