NVIDIA’s “Mid-Range” GeForce RTX 50 GPU Release Has Reportedly Turned Into A Mess; RTX 5070/RTX 5060 Now Delayed By Several Weeks – Wccftech

The upcoming NVIDIA RTX 50 series cards, including the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060, supposedly need bug fixes to improve their performance, which has resulted in rescheduled launches. The RTX 50 series launch is turning into a mess. From paper launches to incredibly high prices in the market, it’s not only difficult to buy one of those at MSRP, but it’s also hard to justify their value. If you think these problems will be history in a couple of weeks, then I have bad news for you.Do keep in mind that this isn’t an official report, but, likely, the upcoming RTX 50 series mid-range GPUs may not enter the market on expected dates. The RTX 5070 Ti was just launched today, and it can’t be found at most retailers, let alone at its official MSRP. The next GPU to be launched is the GeForce RTX 5070, which was supposedly coming on 5th March. However, it may not be released until we get to the second half of the month. The same is said about the RTX 5060 (and probably RTX 5060 Ti, too), which is said to be delayed by up to four weeks. The report comes from Ctee, which suggests that both the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 are facing ‘chip performance issues,’ which are apparently affecting the launch schedule. NVIDIA is reportedly taking its time to fix these bugs, which may cause a few weeks of delays in launch. As per the report, the Taiwan earthquake has also affected the wafer supply, worsening the availability of these GPUs and causing poor inventory levels around their launch time. Thus, you should prepare for another paper launch in advance, just in case these reports are true.NVIDIA’s RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti are all seeing a similar situation. The 5090 and 5080 were already launched twenty days ago, but most can hardly find one from their local retailers at MSRP. The RTX 5070 is supposedly launching a month later, if we go by the new report, and will likely see the same shortage. Hence, expect both the GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 GPUs to be overpriced and rarely available, at least around the launch time.We don’t know how long it will take NVIDIA to sort out the issues, but it’s crucial if it really wants to offer gamers something satisfactory to upgrade to. Given that the news turns out to true, AMD might have gained a massive edge in the mainstream GPU markets. Some posts on wccftech.com may contain affiliate links.
