Pembroke woman catches bright flash in the sky on camera Thursday night – WABI
PEMBROKE, Maine (WABI) – What appears to be a meteor was seen throughout the Downeast region Thursday night. This video was sent to us by Robin Hadlock Seeley of Pembroke. It has not been confirmed what this was, but we will update this when and if more information becomes available.In April 2023, NASA confirmed the first radar-observed meteor fall seen in Maine in Washington County.The Maine Mineral and Gem Museum in Bethel offered a $25,000 reward for the meteorite.Eyewitnesses reported seeing a bright fireball and then hearing a loud sonic boom near Calais.If you have a photo or video you would like to send us, click here.
