Here are the full patch notes, courtesy of Nintendo’s official support page:Bug FixesIf you haven’t played this latest entry in the Mario & Luigi series yet, we would highly recommend it. Here’s a sample of what we had to say in our review here on Nintendo Life:”Mario & Luigi: Brothership takes this long-running RPG series to new heights in a high-seas adventure that’s packed full of top-notch combat, inventive variety, a positive and thoughtful story, and lots signature comedy from the dynamic duo themselves.”Gonna get yourself connectedBest deals and cheapest pricesHave you downloaded this update yet? I guess they think it’s fine that Luigi’s actions in battle are tied to A.Weird finally seeing a game not need a day 1 update. Also weird seeing an update rolled out much later.Meh, don’t feel like there’s anything critical to update here. If there aren’t any new features, I think I’ll pass.Finished the game last week, although I did encounter one of those bugs that soft-locked me. Was annoyed as was after a tough battle I then had to repeat. No bugs or glitches encountered so far. Seems to be a quality product.I think I will beat it today or in the next few days. The one good thing about my massive backlog, time I play the games they are all patched up. Though, I have to be careful of spoilers on YouTube. I can’t wait to play this game at some point this year. This game has a special place, its soo good. Gonna dive in again.@N00BiSH That’s not a bug.Still have this one on my backlog, along with two Zelda games and many, many JRPGs that take 40+ hours to finish. If only I had the time, lol. But this year, for sure!Wonder if the pretty useful glitch mentioned in a previous article here on Nintendo Life (https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2025/02/random-mario-and-luigi-brothership-glitch-lets-you-get-all-5-power-taps-early) has also been patched – those interested in that be careful while I hope everyone else, me included, enjoys not potentially encountering these bugs anymore!Nothing about loading screens after battling, huh?@JohnnyMind I started the game as soon as that glitch was announced so I can use it. Lol. I’m curious to know if it’s patched out or not as well since I’ll wait to update if it is.@N00BiSH This is my first Mario and Luigi and so I tried the 3DS games and I prefer the Switch way for Luigi.I understand people used to the old system prefer it, but I prefer the new method (although they should have given you options)@sanderev it’s an inconvenience that negatively impacts my gameplay experience so it shoud at least have been changed.@SwitchplayerJohn If you’re seriously telling me that you can’t grasp the idea that Luigi has his own single dedicated button for simple action commands, then sorry, but I’m legally allowed to say “skill issue”I’ve played for over 25 hours and haven’t encountered any bugs. Glad that they’re trying to fix those that are there though@JohnnyMind “The fifth Power Tap was able to be acquired earlier than intended.”I wonder about saved game files that have already performed the glitch, and saved the early access to the 5 power taps. I wonder if those files will get modified by the update to remove the taps, or if those files will have complications later in-game for accessing something earlier than intended. Probably neither of those things will happen. Interesting to speculate, though.@Krytture I noticed that, but it mentions the fifth Power Tap specifically when that glitch allows you to get also the third and fourth Power Taps earlier than you’re supposed to so I wonder if it’s a separate glitch I didn’t know about involving just the fifth one or it’s simply a weird way to phrase it!@JohnnyMind a comment in the YouTube video seems to suggest it’s been removed now. I’m just waiting to see if you use this method and then update it will keep the “glitched” ones or not.@AG_Awesome Fingers crossed that will be the case!I bought this day one and played the intro chapter, thought it would hook me up more TBH, will beat it eventually but man, i had higher hopes, (not that the game is bad or anything)@AG_Awesome I used the glitch to get 5 plugs when I only should have had 3, and then ran the update and all 5 plugs are still there.@Captain-N I used the glitch to get 5 plugs when I only should have had 3, and then ran the update and all 5 plugs are still there.
