Galaxy Z Fold 7 reportedly brings these upgrades, but still uses the same battery – 9to5Google
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 is likely going to be a considerable upgrade, but a new report reveals that the battery size won’t change… again.The Galaxy Z Fold lineup has been evolving slowly in recent years, with 2024’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 delivering some welcome updates, but ultimately falling flat compared to competing foldables. For the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7, it seems like Samsung has some real upgrades in store.Recent reports have started to align, pointing towards the Galaxy Z Fold 7 taking on some elements of the Galaxy Z Fold SE that was released last year. That includes a thinner design, bigger display, and changing the way the S Pen works for the sake of the thinner profile.Leaker Setsuna Digital on Weibo reiterates those claims, while adding that Samsung will also be bringing other upgrades including an improved hinge (and likely display crease), improvements to both the main camera and the under-display camera, and better water/dust resistance as well. These are all elements of the device that are overdue for upgrades, and all align with the Galaxy Z Fold SE, which had an 8-inch display and 200MP main camera.However, one thing that won’t be changing is the battery capacity on Galaxy Z Fold 7, which this leak claims will “remain the same.” That implies the same 4,400 mAh battery that Samsung has been using since 2021’s Fold 3. Charging speeds may also not see an update with this upcoming release.
