The cast for season three of Euphoria is shaping up, as the HBO series has added several new castmembers while also saying goodbye to some members of previous seasons’ ensemble.
The series, which has begun production after a nearly three-year hiatus, has added NFL star turned actor Marshawn Lynch (Love Hurts), Grammy winner Rosalia, Kadeem Hardison (The Chi, A Different World), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, Suicide Squad), Toby Wallace (FX’s Pistol), Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Darrell Britt-Gibson and Anna Van Patten. Akinnouye-Agbaje and Wallace will be regulars, and the others will have “notable” guest roles, per HBO.

The new cast joins returning regulars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow. Colman Domingo will also return, but as a guest star. Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry, who recurred in season two, have been upped to regular status.
Not returning for season three are Storm Reid, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King — whose joke about the long gap between seasons during a stand-up set went viral last year — and Algee Smith.
Along with the new cast, Euphoria is also adding Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood as a co-producer, Natasha Newman-Thomas as costume designer and Francois Audouy as production designer.
Season three will feature a time jump that takes the show’s younger characters past their high school years. A premiere date hasn’t been set but will likely come in 2026.
The start of production for Euphoria comes three years after season two premiered on HBO and is more or less in line with the cable network’s pledge last summer that filming would begin in January. HBO and A24 co-produce the series from creator and showrunner Sam Levinson.Sign up for THR news straight to your inbox every dayInside the business of TV with breaking news, expert analysis and showrunner interviewsSubscribe for full access to The Hollywood ReporterSend us a tip using our anonymous form.
