Galaxy S25 Ultra Accounted For Up To 70 Percent Of All Pre-Sales In South Korea; Telecom Firm Claims That Pre-Order Atmosphere Remains Unchanged From The Galaxy S24 – Wccftech

Three mobile carriers in South Korea commenced pre-orders of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup, which comprises of the base model, the Galaxy S25+, and the most premium offering of them all, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Despite all smartphones shipping exclusively with the Snapdragon 8 Elite and 12GB LPDDR5X RAM as standard, the ‘Ultra’ variant garnered the most pre-orders, with one report stating that the flagship accounted for up to 70 percent of all pre-sales in the region. The exact figures have yet to be shared, but ETNews reports that telecom carriers opened up pre-orders for all three models on January 24, with SK Telecom mentioning that the Galaxy S25 Ultra was the most popular amongst early adopters. Accounting for 60-70 percent of all pre-sales, it is clear that the majority of consumers cared about just one model. As for which color ended up being the most popular, it was Titanium Black and Titanium White Silver. For those wondering about the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, the report mentions that the most popular models were Ice Blue and Silver Shadow. The remaining two telecom companies have not shared their pre-order data, so there is a possibility that some variation will happen. As for how popular the pre-sales activity was compared to last year, SK Telecom stated that the atmosphere was similar to that of the Galaxy 24. While that is a sign that Samsung’s Galaxy S25 family is doing well in the region, there is always the possibility that the traction quickly slows down. After all, nothing much has changed about the Galaxy S25 series apart from various internal upgrades, with the Galaxy S25 Ultra featuring a slight redesign where it shifts to curved corners instead of sharper ones, with slimmer bezels resulting in a smaller footprint compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Unfortunately, Samsung made some strange choices with the S Pen, removing Bluetooth functionality, which meant Air Actions would not be a part of the stylus.Fortunately, despite the multitude of upgrades, Samsung has retained the price of all three models, and if you too want to be an early adopter of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Amazon will hand over a $200 gift card if you pre-order the flagship in any color and storage variant of your choice. Keep in mind that the offer expires on February 7, which is the official launch date of all three models.News Source: ETNewsSome posts on wccftech.com may contain affiliate links.
