The remake of Ang Lee’s 1993 rom-com follows Angela and her partner Lee who have been unlucky with their IVF treatments but can’t afford to pay for another round. Meanwhile, their friend Min, the closeted scion of a multinational corporate empire, has plenty of family money but a soon-to-expire student visa. When his commitment-phobic boyfriend Chris rejects his proposal, Min makes the offer to Angela instead: a green card marriage in exchange for funding Lee’s IVF. Elopement plans are upended, however, when Min’s grandmother surprises them with an extravagant Korean wedding banquet.RELATED: Sundance Film Festival Photos: ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’ & ‘Rebuilding’ Premieres On Day 4Other notable premieres today include Peter Hujar’s Day; Cutting Through Rocks (اوزاک یوللار);  Heightened Scrutiny; Sugar Babies; Khartoum; Free Leonard Peltier;  Sauna;  Zodiac Killer Project; Sorry, Baby; Life After; The  Virgin of the Quarry Lake; Serious People, and Opus.RELATED: Deadline Studio at Sundance Film Festival 2025The 2025  Sundance Film Festival will take place from January 23–February 2, 2025, in person in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah.(L-R) Poppy Hanks, Collin Creighton, Stephanie Suganami, Tatanka Means, John Malkovich, Mark Anthony Green, Juliette Lewis, Ayo Edebiri, Murray Bartlett and Josh Bachove attend the “Opus” Premiere during the 2025 Sundance Film Festival at Eccles Center Theatre on January 27(L-R) John Malkovich and Ayo EdebiriJohn MalkovichAyo EdebiriJuliette LewisMurray BartlettTatanka MeansStephanie Suganami(L-R) Poppy Hanks, Shirley Kurata, Collin Creighton, Stephanie Suganami, Tatanka Means, John Malkovich, Mark Anthony Green, Juliette Lewis, guest, Ayo Edebiri, Murray Bartlett, Ernie Gilbert, Josh Bachove, Robert Pyzocha and Jennifer M.
