Now that registrations have been live for a few weeks, it seems Nintendo is now sending out emails to let them know if they’ve been selected. As previously mentioned, this is effectively a ticket raffle, where users are selected at random to attend their nearest events. Here’s the email you can expect (or at least something similar) if you do end up getting an invite from Nintendo:”Nintendo Event Ticket – Your entry was select: Nintendo Switch 2 Experience”These experiences will be taking between April and June across multiple locations across the globe including places like London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Paris, and Toronto. Nintendo has also announced a Switch 2 Direct broadcast will be airing on 2nd April 2025.You can see a full list of locations for the ‘Nintendo Switch 2 Experience’ in our previous post here on Nintendo Life:Update: Registration has begun in select citiesFollowed by a hands-on tourA complete guide to Switch 2 – official details, rumours, leak historySo, did you get an invite? Did you even register? Let us know in the comments.About Liam DoolanLiam is a news writer and reviewer for Nintendo Life and Pure Xbox. None were close enough to me thoI didn’t get selected and neither did my friends. Looks like I’m gonna have to dive in what will probably be another frustrating experience with the waitlistI missed out. I’ll try Thursdays wait list.I’m one of the lucky few that managed to get a ticket. I’m really excited to see what the “Switch 2 Experience” is all about.Way too far for me but I’m looking forward to the coverage. And honestly cramming in with a bunch of randoms even for something like this isn’t super appealing with today’s state of overall mental health.Nope, I am 6 hours from Dallas and wouldn’t want to go just for this. Honestly I can wait I’ll be fine.i hope all the lucky ticket possessors (why couldnt i think of another word 🙁) have fun!! cant wait for the magical new era of nintendo ahead of us 💕Still not traveling halfway across the country to attend. Sorry guys, I’m not a real fan 😔I got denied a ticket for the Los Angeles one, oh well.It seems like I’m one of the lucky people to be accepted to the Toronto event. Can’t wait!Struck out 3 timesRejected 😭And I was so happy one of the events was here in Dallas, where I live…Nope. Unfortunately did not get invited. Didn’t expect to get invited, anyway! It’s all good, the system will launch soon enough.I didn’t make the cut, I’ll try the waitlist. Not me or any friends. Clearly rigged! 🤪Not that fussed anyway. I only applied because they did. We’ll get plenty of information and demonstrations online to satisfy most of us.Got rejected from Melbourne, Australia. Who am I kidding I’ll still buy a switch 2 day 1. Would have been nice to take my kids though. No luck here for London.Nope. , but this is to be expected for myself I literally never win anything. No luck for me either (Amsterdam), sadly. But yeah I wont go on the waitlist, the chance that someone will cancel and I’ll be the first on the list is really slim. (not to get my hopes up)No luck for the London event for me The Switch 1 event was a blast so I expect the same for this one.Got mine for London! Sorry to hear some people hear did not get in though I didn’t even attempt it knowing I’d most likely be rejected. I’ll endure the tediously long wait for one instead.I will be waiting for the midnight launch, hopefully around June.@Danrenfroe2016,I alwys think that when I fail to win the lottery every week..Nope. And my friends who applied separately all didn’t get in either. Sad times all roundThere is none close by and I am not ready to travel for that. But I will be eager to see the media coverage.Got rejected for the London one, tried to pick the time I thought would be the least busiest. NevermindI’m a little bit miffed that I didn’t get through. I was there during the hard times Nintendo, I bought your N64, your GameCube, 3DS and WiiU, I was there man!! 😂😥I live right next to one, but no ticket 😭😭😭Didn’t get one. I wonder if it was truly random or if they had some way of checking social media followers etc. Surely it’s in Nintendo’s best interest to let people in who will post all about it online? Probably was just bad luck though.I applied for Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin. Didn’t get lucky though I didn’t get one for London Sunday morning and it appears the waitlist is going to very long. I wonder if it’s been filled up with influencers?@tjhiphop if I had to guess, I’d say that the longer you’ve had your Nintendo account the less likely you were to get a ticket. They know you’re going to buy day one anyway!I tired here in Paris, to sunday, refused.. :/ I wanted so badly..Probably half the tickets are for press and influencers to be honest. Us plebs probably don’t add much to nintendo’s plans for world domination.@TbobB if that’s true then I was doomed from the start 🥲It’s a near 3 hour drive for me but I’m going to Amsterdam with my 7 year old son!I’m only a bit disappointed that’s it’s on May 11th so much of the surprise has already been spoiled by then. But hey, I’m still excited I’m selected. Going to have a great experience hopefully!Yes! Amsterdam baby!I’m going the first day in the Netherlands 9th of May.Can’t wait!4th in a row going to Amsterdam! 🧡🎮Happy for those who got selected and fingers crossed at least some of the remaining ones will be able to get tickets through the waitlist – personally, I didn’t apply as I’ll just wait for Switch 2 to be released to experience it in person (and even more so since I’m not a fan of this ticket raffle system at all) other than of course watching the Direct and media coverage of this!Toronto says: NO!Checked my entry for the London experience yesterday and saw “Not selected”, didn’t get in, no email saying as such.Should be safe to assume if you didn’t get an email that you’re not going. @Woodyshoe people like me who got invited to a Super Mario Party Jamboree launch party back in October last year did not get accepted for this event.@Ewaldus although for us dutchies three hours seems a lot, we’re awfully lucky to have one in our country, aren’t we… (and looking at the reactions, and knowing nintendo netherlands genaral useless and getting the word out, ours was the most easy to get in to as well;))Hello everyone, happy to have just received confirmation that I have been drawn among the names admitted to the presentation in Milan. Curious to see what’s cooking.@romanista Very true. I think Nintendonl is very passive compared to other regions. Also on socials. But that’s a different discussion.I have no idea how many people can attend but I’m happy I’m selected because now it seems like it wasn’t that obvious after all.See you there the 11th?I picked London on a Sunday at a late time, surely fewest people went for that.Got my email, denied.Missed one for Friday afternoon in London. And no chance I was going to go all the way to Excel on a weekend – I can wait instead!I got a no for Sunday in London, it would of been nice but I felt lucky to be included in that recent game test so I can’t complain too much.nope got rejected for London@SlamDunk22 Same here. I would have considered it if the event was coming to Chicago or Milwaukee (since I live roughly halfway between those two cities), but I am not about to fly to New York, Los Angeles, or Dallas just for a few minutes of playing the Switch 2. Gonna have to wait for launch day.Didn’t get one this time, though I’ll try for the waitlist. Hope everyone that got in enjoys it! I definitely did the first time around.@tjhiphop @TbobB Gotta take into account there’s an exponentially larger pool of Nintendo accounts that opened up between now and back in late 2016 when the Switch’s first preview lottery happened so don’t feel too bad about not making it.Between April and June 😵 That’s ages from now. Release in fall probably, then… I hope Nintendo still have some late games for the old Switch coming, otherwise it’s going to be a very quiet year.Ahhhh i forgot to apply 😭😋I was like, i will do it later… And after i forgot. Grrr 😂I would’ve signed up if I could have gotten a ride to NYC 😭Got accepted for NYC!It’s funny, because the original plan was for a few friends to apply for different sessions to increase our chances, but Nintendo’s guest rules seemed to discourage that. Fortunately, the RNG fates have shined on the few eggs in this one basket!Incidentally, if I had a nickle for everytime I won a chance to go to NY for an official Nintendo event, I’d have three nickles. Which isnt a lot, but…No luck for me 🥲Nintendo mentioned there to be a “waitlist” but they just said January 29 4PM and I have no idea what time zone they meant 🫠Nope Did not hear anything about a waitlist, but I can’t imagine I’d get into that either…I’m sure demand was incredibly high and they seemingly only want to do these demos for a couple days. Not even 24 hours in and apparently there were already listings of these tickets on eBay: https://x.com/nintendeal/status/1884320784765837592?s=46Pretty crazy if you ask me. How did Nintendo not realize this would happen? It was stated in the NDA that they can’t sell the tickets, but some people just didn’t listen.Even worse if the tickets don’t have names of the people who got them, making it easier for a person who didn’t initially register bring the resold tickets to the events and register them as part of their account to gain entry.
