Samsung Vision AI is a set of AI-powered features that can provide you with information about the content that you are watching, such as details about the cast, place, and objects in a scene, recommend content to watch, and offer other conveniences that make watching and exploring content on Samsung TVs easier than before.
Samsung said that Vision AI, or at least some of its features, are powered by Microsoft Copilot, and also talked about it working with Google to expand what Samsung Vision AI can do. Well, according to a new leak, the South Korean tech giant isn’t just working with Google for its set of AI features for TVs but also with the leader in the AI space, Open AI.
Samsung Vision AI to get features powered by OpenAI
According to Maeil Kyungjae, Samsung is working with OpenAI to leverage its products and offer useful features in Samsung Vision AI on its TVs. Reportedly, the company could use Open AI’s GPT, Dali, Whisper, and o1 to offer features such as personalized content recommendations, chatbot, support for easier multitasking, real-time language translation, customized healthcare, and customized entertainment on Samsung TVs.
The publication claims that if you use Samsung Vision AI on the new Samsung TVs to recommend a thriller movie similar to the one that you watched yesterday, it will provide you with relevant suggestions, and if you ask a question about the story or actor while watching the TV, it will provide you with relevant information. This will save you from the hassle of taking out your smartphone and searching for that info manually.
